This course will include full updates on what’s been happening over street works and parking.
- Does your council want to enforce against moving offences? Will you be a civil enforcement area? Parking. What are the possibilities?
- Taking over the highway authority. What are the new network management duties and can the Secretary of State intervene in your traffic authority? Part 2 of the Act.
- Will the new Traffic Officer Service help and what is the idea behind this?
- Problems with street works. The new procedures. Do the new provisions help or are they “too little too late”? The rules for permit schemes-will this help or will the government control all this too tightly?
- Fixed penalties for highways offences. The additional enforcement rules. Are these going to help the public?
- Case studies.
- The Act contains much new law. The course aims to explain, answer questions and deal with the implications for highways and traffic authorities.
Malcolm Smith, London Borough of Lewisham" Case studies and updates on state of legislation very helpful. Nicely presented and a pleasure to attend "
