Licensing Basic Survival Guide

This is a day for Licensing Officers and Solicitors who have limited or no experience of licensing

This day will:

  • Introduce you clearly and concisely to licensing law
  • Answer all your licensing questions
  • Aid and expand your understanding of licensing issues
  • Ensure you are aware of points to watch
  • Compare different types of applications that you will need to process day-to-day
  • Tell you when a licence is necessary
  • Give you a more detailed understanding and more confident outlook when dealing with all licensing issues
  • Avoid any potential problems by being aware of all the recent High Court decisions in connection with licensing  
  • Ensure you are in a position to avoid any challenge on the basis of bias on the part of either Officers or Members  
  • Understand clearly what needs to be taken into account in deciding whether or not an applicant for a licence is fit and proper
